Step One: The Free Home Survey

Step Three: Subfloor Preparation
This is the step that separates professionals from amateurs, and it is where we spend most of our time. The quality of the final floor is decided here, before a single plank or roll of carpet is fitted.
For concrete floors, preparation means checking moisture levels and applying levelling compound where the floor is not flat. For timber floors, it means screwing down loose boards and laying plywood where the floor flexes. We never lay new flooring over a subfloor that is not ready, because every problem below will eventually appear above.
Step Four: Acclimatisation
Wood products and some other flooring types need time to adapt to the temperature and humidity of your home before they are installed. This is called acclimatisation, and skipping it is one of the most common causes of boards expanding, shrinking or cupping after installation.
We store the flooring in your home for the recommended time before fitting. It is a small delay that protects a significant investment, and it is one of those details that shows why experience matters.
Step Five: The Installation
With preparation complete, the fitting itself is where the craftsmanship shows. For carpet, this means laying the right underlay, fitting gripper rods, and stretching the carpet so it is drum-tight with no ripples. For LVT and laminate, it means laying each plank precisely, maintaining the pattern, and planning joins so they are invisible and structurally sound.
